LaVerne Albers and Frank Joseph (Jody) Busch married 9 June 1940 at Immanuel Evangelical and Reformed Church in Sedalia, MO.

LaVerne L. Busch, 93, of Sedalia, died Sunday, June 24, 2012, at Bothwell Regional Health Center. She was born August 12, 1918, in Morgan County, a daughter of the late Rudolph and Martha (Holsten) Albers. On June 9, 1940, she and Frank Joseph Busch were united in marriage at Immanuel United Church of Christ by Rev. Oscar Rumpf. Frank preceded her in death on September 17, 1984. She attended Camp Branch School and Cole Camp High School. She was baptized as a baby, and confirmed in April, 1935, by Rev. Obley at Immanuel United Church of Christ. She worked as a housekeeper until her marriage. She and her husband made their home in Parkville, where they ran a grocery store for over 40 years. She later worked as a cook's assistant while living in Parkville. She moved to Sedalia in 2002. She was patient, kind and hospitable. She was a very good cook and enjoyed spoiling her nieces and nephews. She is survived by two sisters, Marie Hunter, and Betty Holman, and her husband, Gerald; a sister-in-law, Pat Albers; all of Sedalia; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Leo Albers and William Albers; and a brother-in-law, George Hunter. Funeral service will be 10 am, Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Brady Abel officiating. Pallbearers will be George J. Hunter, Jr., Rick Hunter, Mark Holman, Tom Hippensteel, George Albers, Tom Smith, Mark Brown and Jordan Hippensteel. Graveside service will be 2 pm, Tuesday, at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Parkville. Visitation will be Monday, 6:30 pm-8:00 pm, at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions are suggested to Immanuel United Church of Christ in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.
