Mary Phillips Venable
Died at her home in Kentwood at 7:15, Friday, Sept. 5, at the age of 88. She was born Feb. 1, 1870, in St. Helena Parish. The body will be at the Brown Funeral Home in Kentwood until 9:30 a.m. Sunday. Religious services will be held at the Days Methodist Church at 10 a.m. Sunday, conducted by the Rev. Robert Townsend. Interment in the Days Church Cemetery. She was the wife of the late William Venable and is survived by three sons, Roger, Clarence and Walter Venable of Greensburg; three daughters, Mrs. E.W. Newsom and Mrs. J.W. Strickland of Kentwood and Mrs. A.E. Rogillio of Baker, and one sister, Mrs. Ethel Lee of Liverpool.
