Age 90, son of the late Casimir and Rose Kaczmarek Szumigala.
He co-operated the former Tofel's Cafe for many years. He was also a retired employee of General Electric Co. He was graduate of Erie Technical High School, where he held a track record for more than 20 years. He attended William & Mary College. He enjoyed traveling and sports.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Estelle T. Tofel Szumigala; a daughter, Christine Szumigala of Erie; a sister Charlotte Galla of Erie; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Burial will be at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
