Harry John Gfeller was born January 26,1893 in the Alida community of Geary County,KS to Peter and Rosa Gfeller.
Early in life he moved to the Upland area,northern Dickinson County.Where he built a house,before his marriage to Alice Keller on January 9,1924.Their entire life was spent on this farm.To this union,twin daughters were born,Rose Mary and Donna Lee. Mr.Gfeller was active in Farm Bureau and soil conservation work and served on various boards of agriculture improvement.October 22,1923 he was baptized at the Alida St.John's Evangelical Church and welcomed by the congregation
of the church as a member.His death on September 9,1954 was unexpectedly due to a heart attack while working on his farm.Surviving are his wife,Alice, his mother and his daughters.
