Ambrose E Allen was married to Elizabeth Syphers, also buried at Spring Hill Cemetery. Together they had 10 children: Joel, Mary, Phebe, Jacob, John, Lucinda, Abraham, Susan, Elizabeth, and Malissa. Lucinda Allen was born 16 Dec 1815, died 21 July, 1902. She married James Cooper. They moved Fountain County in 1854. Their farm at that time was known as the John Murdock farm, two miles west of Hillsboro. In 1916 it was owned by Wallace Epperson. The 12th of their 16 children was Miles Cooper, 11 Feb 1851- 1 April 1947, who was my great grandfather.
