Dorsie Rowls, 59, 207 Jackson St., a Muncie resident for many years, died Thursday in St. John's Hospital in Anderson. He was a native of Portland but had spent most of his life in Muncie. He was a former employe of the Moore Mfg. Co. and later the Pinkerton Detective Agency in Muncie and Anderson.
Surviving are his wife, Phoebe; two daughters, Mrs. Alma Fears, Muncie, and Mrs. Ned Rowan, Frankton; two sons, Walter G. and Charles C., at home; two brothers, Walter, Muncie, and Glen, Selma; and three grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary after 7 p.m. Saturdayand after 1 p.m. Sunday. Services will be there at 11 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Center Cemetery, west of Portland.
