Deceased Name: Ida A. Campbell
Ida A. Campbell, 109, died Dec. 15, 1991, at the Jefferson Health Care Center, 615 S.W. Oldham Parkway, Lee's Summit, where she lived.
Mrs. Campbell was born Oct. 12, 1882, in Virginia City, Mo., and lived in Raymore in Cass County, Mayview, Mo., and Oak Grove in Jackson County before moving to Lee's Summit six years ago. She was a school teacher in rural schools near Greenwood in Jackson County and Corder, Mo., from 1900 to 1908.
Recognition of her life and accomplishments was written into the U.S. Congressional Records on Oct. 9, 1986. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oak Grove and the Oak Grove Garden Club. She was a member of the Missouri Century Club. Her husband, Henry Campbell, died in 1975. Survivors include a son, Woodrow Campbell, Monett, Mo.; two daughters, Mary Louise Bratten, Lee's Summit, and Elizabeth Tuttle, Florence, S.C.; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Royer Chapel, Oak Grove; burial in Bates City Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel.
