Alonzo D. Alpha, the well known merchant and cabinet maker, of Vienna, died very suddenly on last Monday morning. Mr. A. was an old pioneer of the county, he was highly esteemed by all who knew him, was kind and benevolent to all. His death is not only a loss to his family but to the entire community.

Another Old and Respected Citizen Gone.
Scottsburg, June 27. - Alonzo Alpha, a time-honored citizen of this county, aged, fifty-nine years, died today of heart disease. He was the brother of Ex-Postmaster of Alpha, of Charlestown, Clark county, and was born and raised there, coming to Scottsburg when a young man.
