In the well-respected "History of the Doggett-Daggett Family" (Press of Rockwell and Churchill, Boston, 1894 by Samuel Bradlee Doggett) Hannah Doggett Blanchard was a daughter of Thomas Doggett and his second wife, Elizabeth (Humphrey) Fry, the widow of William Fry and daughter of Jonas and Frances Humphrey of Dorchester, MA. Thomas Doggett and Elizabeth Fry married in Weymouth, MA in 1643 and Hannah was subsequently born in 1646. Elizabeth died in 1652, and Doggett subsequently married 3rd, Joanna Chillingsworth, the widow of Thomas Chillingswroth in 1654. There is no mention of an Elizabeth Foster. Mary Chillingsworth, child of Thomas and Joanna Chillingsworth, married a John Foster in 1661 and perhaps there is where the name Foster is connected.
