Donald died Aug 3, 1995. Born May 30, 1903, in Indian Territory, now Enid, OK. He grew up in Gotebo, OK, graduated from Oklahoma University, and married Grace J Thayer on May 6, 1966. He was an executive of OG&E from 1926-1968 when he retired. He continued to be very active in OK affairs until age 82, working part time for OK Department of Commerce, and OK State Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Anderson was known as a leader in industrial development for the state and was the mentor of many of todays business development experts throughout the state. He was responsible for several large industries expanding to Oklahoma which now employee hundreds of people.

As a civic leader in the state, he was Chairman of the Governor's Industrial Team, Board of Directors of OKC Chamber of Commerce. He was a deacon and active member of the First Presbyterian Church in OKC for many years. Preceded in death by a brother, P K Anderson, world renowned Spanish coin collector; 2 sisters, Barbara Hunsinger and Mary Andrews, and a stepson, Joe Thayer.
