Grassflat- Mrs. Mary Askey, 80, of Grassflat, died yesterday at Dixonville in the home of her son, Robert, where she had made her home for the past year during an illness.
A daughter of John and Matilda (Eisenhauer) Ardary, she was born at Kylertown July 17, 1885. She was a member of the S.S. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church and a member of the Grassflat Women of the Moose.
She is survived by the following five sons and three daughters:
Robert, Dixonville; Edward, South Williamsport; Lawrence, Williamsport R. D.: Blair and Mrs. Leona Mitcheltree, Williamsport; Jess and Mrs. Helena Young, Grassflat; and Matilda Vaugh, New Castle.
29 grandchildren and 39 Great-grandchildren also survive. Her husband, Foster Askey died in 1953.
Interment will be in the Drifting Cemetery.
