BOWIE - H. Paul Boyd of Bowie, a retired oilfield worker and school custodian, died Tuesday at a Bowie hospital after an illness. He was 83.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Burgess-Fry Funeral Home in Bowie. Burial will be in Lindale Cemetery in Montague County.

Mr. Boyd was born in Millsap and had lived in Bowie 26 years. He was an oilfield worker for 40 years before becoming a custodian in the Bowie school district.

Survivors: Wife, Ruby Boyd of Bowie; daughter, Pauline Perotti of Bedford; two granddaughters; and two great-grandchildren._
