Viola M. Bourque, 90
Viola M. Bourque, 90, died Monday, May 19, 1997 at Mercy Healthcare Center in Tupper Lake where she had been a resident since January 1994.
Born October 6, 1906 in Hamilton, New Brunswick, she was the daughter of John and Mary Ellen (Tatreault) Boushie.
She moved to Tupper Lake in 1920 and on September 29, 1924, she married Eugene Brunette at St. Alphonsus Church. He predeceased her on October 28, 1969.
On August 10, 1972, she married Valmont Bourque. He predeceased her on May 29, 1992.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Brunette of Tupper Lake and Donald Brunette of Leeseburg, Florida; two daughters, Mrs. Joan Denis and Mrs. Marshall (Betty) Jarvis both of Tupper Lake; 19 grandchildren and one stepson, Armand Bourque of Tupper Lake.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Willard Boushie of Orlando, Florida and Doran Boushie of Tupper Lake and one sister, Mrs. Evelyn Denis of Tupper Lake.
Calling hours will be at the convenience of the family at the Rennell Funeral Home in Tupper Lake. Burial will be in St. Alphonsus Cemetery. A memorial Mass will be held at St. Alphonsus Church at a later date to be announced.
Those wishing to remember Mrs. Bourque through memorial donations are asked to consider the Tupper Lake Rescue Squad.
