Ehrhardt - Little Henry Chassereau, 70, died Saturday in a Bamberg hospital. The funeral will be 4 p.m. Sunday in the Southern Methodist Church in Ehrhardt. Burial will be in Ehrhardt Cemetery, directed by Cooner Funeral Home of Bamberg. Mr. Chassereau was born in Hampton County July 10, 1901, a son of the late John Wyman and Ida Rentz Chassereau. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Southern Methodist Church of Ehrhardt. Surviving are: his widow, Mrs. Idalia Warren Chassereau of Ehrhardt; two daughters, Mrs. Jamie Williams of Fairfax and Mrs. Joseph Bays of Sumter; three sons, Dr. Daniel Chassereau and Henry J. Chassereau of Ehrhardt; the Rev. Olin Chassereau of Beaufort; two brothers, Frank Chassereau of Denmark and Glenwood Chassereau of Ehrhardt; 18 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. © The News and Courier, Charleston, SC, 2 Jul 1972
