Harry Leamon Cardinal was born on 12 July 1906 to Phillip Cardinal & Irene Washer. In 1918 his parents divorced and his mother left the home and children. Harry was 12 yrs old. Harry married Mary Helen Underwood on 18 July 1935 in Marion Co. IN. and 7 children were born to the union. Harry discovered his wife, Mary, was seeing his cousin, Clifford Edmond Jackson. Harry shot and injured Clifford and he was sentenced to the Madison Reformery as a result of shooting. Mary later divorced Harry and married the cousin. Harry came out of the reformatory and made his home in the Indianapolis, Indiana area. Harry's final request was to be buried in by his brother, Wm. McKinley Cardinal.
