TERRY EMIL MELVIN BROWN
Terry E. M. Brown, age 72, of Wibaux, Montana passed away on Monday, March 7, 2011 at the Glendive Medical Center in Glendive, Montana.

A Rosary will be recited at 10:30 A.M. Friday, March 11, 2011 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Beach followed by a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. at the church, with Reverend Father Russell Kovash officiating. Rite of Committal will follow at a later date in the Westernheim Cemetery. Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home of Beach, is entrusted with arrangements.

Terry Melvin Brown was born on January 3, 1939 in Beach, North Dakota, a son of Math and Bertha (Koch) Brown. He was raised thirty miles north east of Beach in the Westerheim community. He attended 1st grade in Beach and 2nd through 8th grade at Westerheim School. Terry then returned to Beach High School and graduated with the class of 1957. After graduation he worked on the family farm. Terry went into a family ranching partnership with his brother Lloyd for a time. They divided the home place in 1973 and Terry continued to ranch on his own.

Terry married Judy Noll on June 3, 1961 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Golva. After their marriage they continued living on the family farm and three Children were born to this union.

Terry was married to Darlene Jewett Wood on January 3, 1991 in Beach. After their marriage they moved to Wibaux, Montana, where they presently reside.

Terry enjoyed being Santa Claus in Beach and Wibaux, owning, and driving the school buses. He enjoyed it so much he would often treat the students to ice cream when they were good. He also enjoyed playing cards with his kids. Terry was very proud of all his grandchildren and his extended family and their lives. He loved playing pinochle with his friends. Some of Terry's favorite hobbies were antique tractors and the love he had for collecting old bibles.

Terry was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and enjoyed going to the Palace Café and Co-op in Wibaux for coffee. He loved taking walks and being with his family he was a very kind loving and gentle man.

Terry was preceded in death by his brothers Art Brown and Lloyd Brown, his sister Violet Carrigan, his parents, and a grandson.

Terry is survived by a large and loving family. His wife Darlene of Wibaux, Montana. His son Kevin (Lori Watembach) of Beach, North Dakota, daughters Brenda (Jon) Willette of Billings, Montana, Barb Lechler of Baker, Montana and Terry's grandchildren Landon and Lateasha Lechler of Beach, North Dakota, his step children: Cathy Ann (Wade) Austby of Wibaux, Montana, Julie (Todd) Austby of Wibaux, Montana, Trish (Jim) Boorman of Spokane, Washington, Molly Rogers of Wibaux, Montana, Zane (Cindy) Wood of Dillon, Montana, Sisters Loretta Tescher of Beach, North Dakota, Deanna (Matt) Lardy of Richland, Washington, his step grandchildren Mindy Van Vleet, Naomi Austby Grove, Alissa Welch, Amanda Grigsby, Jobeth Mckoon, Maggi Blakenship, LesLee Rogers, Teri Rogers, Shayla Wood, Kyra Wood, twelve step great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
