MRS. ABERCROMBIE DIES IN GALVESTON
Mrs. James M. Abercrombie, well-known Longview resident, died Thursday morning in John Sealy Hospital in Galveston, where she was taken Monday undergo eye surgery. Funeral arrangement are pending .
Mrs. Abercrombie was the wife of J. M. Abercrombie, associated with Vocational Rehabilitation Division of Texas Education Agency. The was a member of the Winterfield Methodist Church. Immediate survivors Include her husband and two children, John. 9, and Susan, 14.

ARCADIE, Oct. 12 (Special) - Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday for Mrs. Gladys Abercrombie, 46, who died Thursday after a lengthy illness.
The rites will be held in the Athens Methodist Church with the Rev. Roland Scales, the Rev. Louis Gantt and the Rev. B. L. Westbrook officiating. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery under the direction of Congers Funeral Home.
Survivors are her husband; a daughter. Miss Susan Abercrombie of Longview, Tex.; a son, John Abercrombie of Longview; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Van Hooser of Arcadia; two brothers, Murry L. Van Hooser of Ruston, and Ed Murriel Van Hooser of Bogata, Columbia; four sisters, Mrs. Clarice Bramlett of Arcadia, Mrs. Avis Volentine of Dixie, Mrs. Marie McGehee of Nashville, Tenn., and Mrs. Shirley McMillian of Carthage, Miss.
