RUSHVILLE — Peggy C. Webb, 87, of Rushville, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2012, peacefully at Miller's Merry Manor in Rushville.
Peggy was born Feb. 9, 1925, in Springfield, Ill., a daughter of the late Lula (Graves) and Clark Adams. She was the widow of Hugh Vernon Webb who passed away on June 10, 2005. They were married July 29, 1950.
Peggy is survived by sons, Timothy (Sheryl) Webb of Fowler and Thomas Webb of Rushville; grandson, Jonathan Webb of Rushville; granddaughters Kristina Bulmer of Fountain City and Elizabeth Webb of Fowler; and nephew Jay Adams of Speedway.
She was preceded in death by brother Clark Adams and sister Marilyn Adams.
Peggy was a members of the First Presbyterian Church in Rushville, Eastern Star #471 in Milroy and Kappa Kappa Sigma Zeta Chapter. She served on the Rush Memorial Hospital Board from 1988 to 1997 and the Rushville Township Advisory Board from 1986 to 1998.
Peggy was recognized as a Republican Women of the Year in 1986 and served as a precinct committeeman in Rushville Township.
She was employed by Deprez Scott for many years.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 25, at Burns Funeral Home in Milroy with Rev. Phil Mitchell officiating.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, June 24, at Burns Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Rush Memorial Hospital, 1300 N. Main St., Rushville, IN 46173.
