Philip Hendershot, aged 68, of 521 North River street, died late last night in City Hospital of paralysis. He is survived by his wife and several children.

Wilkes-Barre Record; Friday, March 8, 1918:
The funeral of Philip Hendershot was held from his late residence, 521 North River street, yesterday afternoon. The home was thronged with friends and relatives, and the floral offerings were numerous. He is survived by his wife and several children and grandchildren. Services were conducted at the home by Rev. E. H. Newing, pastor of Derr Memorial Church, and Rev. T. R. Dietz of St. Luke's Reformed Church. The pall bearers, all members of the the Jr. O. U. A. M., of which deceased was a member, were Stanley Yetter, Abraham Keithline, Frank Rebsame, William Williams, Thomas Worth and A. Schooley.
