Russell Carroll Jones, 71, died on Sunday evening, April 10, 2011 at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY.
He was born on February 21, 1940 in Milton, Trimble County, KY., the son of the late James Leonard Jones and Hattie Belle Smith Jones. Mr. Jones was retired from Ato-Chem Chemical Company in Carrollton. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and after his tour of duty he went on to join the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the American Legion Post #41 in Carrollton.
He will be missed by his wife, Rosemary Couch Jones of Carrollton, KY., three daughters, Barbara (John) Perkins of Worthville, KY., Joy (Joe) Webster of Woodward, OK., and Mary Sue Combs of Worthville, KY., two son's, Mike (Annette) Cook of Perryville, KY., and Jeff Cook of Danville, KY., a brother, Coleman Jones of Milton, KY., five half brothers, Billy Pat, Mike, Allen & Kevin Bradshaw all of Sellersburg, IN., and Jerry Bradshaw of Milton, KY., two half sisters, Velma Clemons of Sellersburg, IN., and Beverly McAnally of Owenton, KY., nineteen grandchildren and thirty three grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Eillene and one grandson.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick Nickels officiating the service. Visitation will be from Noon - 2:00 on Wednesday at the funeral home.
