Lucille E. Wilcox, 88, of 82 W. Park Drive died Friday, March 26, 2004, in Crestwood Care Center.
Born June 12, 1915 in Shelby, to Lester C. and Mary (Rinehart) Berrier, she had been a Shelby resident the majority of her life. Mrs. Wilcox had been a homemaker and had been previously employed at the Shelby Cycle Company and AMF Company. She was a member of the Crouse Memorial Lutherans Church. She enjoyed fishing, bowling and playing bingo.

She is survived by her husband Gale L. Wilcox, whom she wed July 27, 1935, one son Tom (Deanna) Wilcox of Tiro, and Beverly Wilcox of Shelby, one daughter, Joanne (Gary) Johnson of Lexington, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two brothers, Donald (Joyce) Berrier, Paul (Jeannie) Berrier, one sister, Donna (Leo) Stima, nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Robert Wilcox, and infant brother, Lester C. Berrier Jr., and in-laws Fordy & Verma Wilcox.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 am from the Shelby Barkdull Funeral Home in Shelby by Reverend Ann Hunter of the Crouse Memorial Lutheran Church will officiate with interment in the Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call at the Barkdull Funeral Home Monday from 6 to 8 pm. Memorial expressions may be made to Shelby Home and Public Health and the Tiro Crouse Memorial Lutherans Church.
