Estelle Barnes Morris of Bremen passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015 in a local health facility. She was born November 8, 1920 in Carroll County, daughter of the late J. C. Barnes and Georgia Eason Barnes. Mrs. Morris was a retired Hubbard Company employee and a member of the Bremen First Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Duma Morris; brothers and sisters, Annie Barnes, Horace Barnes, Ethel Walker, Eljie Barnes, Charlie Barnes, Dumah Barnes, Arnold Barnes and Grace Rooks
Survivors include a daughter, Nan Nelson of Bremen; a granddaughter, Ellen Nelson of Bremen and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be Tuesday, November 3 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Sharon Sewell, Larry Walker and Brett Barnes officiating. Music will be furnished by Sara Calhoun. Andy Lanier, Bob Helget, Tim Barnes, Steve Rooks, James Barnes, Harold Barnes and Lee Barnes will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Asbury Cemetery in Temple.
