On 29 Nov 1838, Hannah married William Ogden Carothers. Three known daughters are born of this union; Margaret Anna (1839-1910), Priscilla Carothers (1842-1858), and Sarah Barnes 'Hannah' (1846-1915). The whereabouts and death of William are still to be discovered.

In 1950, Hannah marries Rev William Thompson in Hancock County, IL. She gives birth to a daughter in 1851 who is named Hannah. Mother, Hannah, dies March 31, 1851, perhaps from childbirth complications. Her daughter, by the age of 9, is living in California with her grandmother, Elizabeth West Barnes (according to the 1860 Census) as is her half-sister, Sarah Carothers, who is now 14 years of age. Elizabeth Barnes passes in 1869. Daughter Hannah may have married a man with the last name of Stevens...the search continues.
