William E. Miller was a baker and grocery store owner at Miller Brother's Grocery at 19th and Duncan streets in Louisville, Kentucky. He also played the organ for the Trinity Evangelical Church in Louisville. Later he and his wife and two children moved to Cane Run Road where he planted trees for an orchard. He also owned and operated Riverview Farms Dairy and Miller's Orchard with his wife and his son's family.
