Mrs. Joseph S. Brown Passes Away

The death of Mrs. Joseph S. Brown will be deeply mourned by her relatives and a wide circle of friends. Mrs. Brown passed away in the Claresholm Municipal Hospital on Sunday, Jan. 9th., at the age of 61 years, 3 months and 20 days.

She was born in Ogden, Utah, on Sept. 8th., 1882, and was married in Salt Lake City to Joseph S. Brown, coming to Stavely in 1902.

She is survived by her husband, two brothers, Nunam Stanford of Stavely and Jesse Stanford of Cardston; and by six daughters and four sons; Mrs. Alberta A. Maxwell of Edmonton; Mrs. Thelma Derochie of Claresholm; Mrs. Wanda Granlun of Rosemary; Mrs. Veda Boutland of Calgary' Mrs. Elva J. Wendelboe of Stavely. Miss Constance M. Brown of Vulcan; Venly Brown of Stavely; Cpl. Grant V. Brown, on active service overseas; and AC2 Hugh E. Brown, now stationed in Montreal.

The funeral was held in the L. D.S. Church, Stavely, on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment was in Stavely Cemetery. Geo. W. Ringrose directed the funeral arrangements.

The pallbearers were: E. C. Webster, Jack Oviatt, Ray Jenkins, Percy David, Jos. Rodgers and Wendel Jones.
