Hawley, Tx. - Lynda C. Guffey, 57, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012, at her Hawley residence. Graveside services will be 10:00a.m., Thursday, June 21, 2012 in the Hamby Cemetery with Sessions Hammond officiating under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory St. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00p.m. at the funeral home.
Lynda was born June 24, 1954 in Abilene to Morris Vernon and Edna Ivy Carr. She was a homemaker and had worked at the Hawley Café for 30 years. Lynda was well known in the Hawley community. She also loved spending time with her family and friends and she was a Baptist.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Mark Guffey of Hawley; her sons, Billy Jones and wife, Kim of Tuscola, Larry Jones of Cedar Hill, TX and Gary Jones and wife, Erica of Hawley; her daughters, Ashley Otwell and husband, William of Midland and Carla Flores of Anson; a brother, Eddie Carr of Abilene; and twelve grandchildren.
