Darlene was born to Arthur Owen Martinsen and Pearl Hickman in Salt Lake City, UT on March 18, 1930.
She graduated from South High School and then proceeded to work at Hill Air Force Base, where she ran the trouble call desk in the civil engineering department. Darlene was very beautiful both inside and out, and was voted Mrs. Hill Air Force Base in 1952.
Darlene was well known for being extremely hard working in all that she did. She worked full time at the base while raising seven healthy daughters.
She married Wally Ramsey in 1950 with whom she had three daughters, Christine, Caren and Annette. Later, she married Joe Dominguez and had four more daughters, Jody, Julie, Andrea, and Angela. They later divorced then in 1988 she found her final life partner and married Howard Schleicher. Darlene was a very, very proud grandmother of twenty-one and a great-grandmother of twenty-five. Darlene was proceded in death by Donald Martinsen.
Graveside Services will be held in the Lehi City Cemetery, 1100 North 400 East, Lehi, UT, on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at 2:00 p.m.
