On February 14th, Ola Joyce Bonura, 84, completed her journey on earth and is now reunited with loved ones and her Creator. She will be deeply missed and remembered by family and friends. Ola Joyce was born in Rockdale, Texas, on August 21, 1927, where she was raised in a loving family and established many life-long friendships. She was an excellent cook -- a skill she shared with her mother -- and took pride in caring for her family. Nicknamed "Snapper" by her father at an early age, she showed us all how inner strength can overcome many limitations. She spent the majority of her life in Pasadena, Texas -- working in the office at J.C. Penney's, in her younger years. In 2008 she and Frank moved to Holly Hall Assisted Living, where she enjoyed participating in activities such as Mind Jogging and Bingo. A private memorial service, honoring Ola Joyce's life, was held in Rockdale, Texas. Houston Chronicle, February 19, 2012
