John Charles Ashley, 90, passed away Monday, May 7, 2012, at the Isle of Watercrest in Bryan, Texas. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 10, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station, with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m., Friday, May 11, 2012, at Wellborn Cemetery.
John Charles was born in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Geraldine (Cosgrove) Ashley and Earl Thomas Ashley. He was a self taught civil engineer.
Survivors include his children, William C. Ashley, Charlotte A. Victorero, and Michael Ashley and wife, Kathleen; a sister, Phylis Kimmey; and numerous grandchildren.
