GROVETOWN, Ga. - Mr. C. L. Churchville, Jr., 75, loving husband of Joyce Avant Churchville of 54 years, entered into rest on Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at the VA Medical Center. Mr. Churchville's loving spirit will be greatly missed by his family and all that knew him. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Andy Brown and Benefield Sunday School Classes. Other survivors include his children and their spouses, Douglas Lee and Jackie Churchville of Covington, Derek Alan and Marie Churchville of Grovetown, and Denise C. and Randy Radford of Evans; sister, Claudis Churchville Morrison of Callahan, FL; grandchildren, Karis C. Watkins and her husband Kevin, Courtney C. Rubendall and her husband S tephen, Brittany L. Churchville, Clayton L. Churchville, Kyle D. Churchville, Darien W. Churchville, Sara Churchville, and Michelle Churchville; great-grandchild Stephen A. "Phen" Rubendall, III. Mr. Churchville was born in Blackshear, GA to the late Claude Lee and Sarah McCaskill Churchville. He was a twenty year retired US Army veteran of the Korean War and was awarded three Bronze Service Stars Medals. He worked twenty years as a shift nurse at Federal Paper Board and member of Woodlawn Baptist Church and the Andy Brown Sunday School Class. He was a former member of Crestview Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, a member and class treasurer of the Benefield Sunday School Class, and father of the year in 1994. He was a charter member of Grovetown Senior Center, Kroger Bingo Club, Krystal Bingo Club Deans Bridge Road and met once a month with the Federal Paper Board Retirees.
