Gary Dean Fenton, age 62 of 301 Maple St., Udell, Iowa passed away at the Bloomfield Care Center in Bloomfield, Iowa on June 17, 2012 at 11:50 pm following a lingering illness. Gary resided in Sterling, Colorado for many years working on energy wind turbines. He later returned to his hometown to help his family.

Gary was born on March 4, 1950 in Appanoose County, the son of Kenneth and Maxine(Thomas)Fenton. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son, Ronnie Dean.

Survivors include his lifetime partner, Sherry Schlesier; a daughter Kelly Jean of Hardy, Arkansas; five brothers and sisters, Gene(Diane)Fenton of Audubon, Iowa, Pat(Lonnie)Risher of Centerville, Iowa, Judy(Bill)Neal of Parkville, Missouri, Dennie(Charlotte)Fenton of Moulton, Iowa, and Kim Ferren of Dallas, Texas; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Lange Funeral Home & Crematory in Centerville with Pastor Terry Thomas of Clearwater, Florida officiating. Burial will follow in the Brushy Cemetery near Plano, Iowa A visitation will be held on Tuesday at the Lange Funeral Home from 1-8 pm, with the family present from 6-8. Memorials have been established to the American Diabetes Association.
