M. LINDA HEGLIN, 69, of Colfax, WA and formerly of Omak, WA and Iowa, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2012 at her Colfax home. Linda was born Sept. 1, 1942 in Engelwood, CO to Laverne & Ruth (Magee) Adamson. She grew up in Colorado and graduated from high school there. Linda married HB McCloud following graduation and they had three children, making Alabama their home. They later divorced. Linda returned to Colorado where she met & married Ronald Winter and together they operated a ski lodge and ranch in Netherland, CO outside Boulder. Together they had one daughter Benay. In 1974 the family moved to Omak, WA where Linda worked as a Matron for the Juvenile Detention system and also enjoyed tending bar. She and Ron later divorced. She moved to Colorado where she met and married Roger Heglin and they made Iowa their home. Following her divorce from Roger, she moved to Moscow, ID and later to Colfax in 2009 so she could be near her daughter and family. Linda loved animals and was a member of the Eagles Lodge through the years. She especially loved spending time with her daughter Benay Lyman, husband David & grandchildren Dakota, Kaysha & Kenton. Linda is survived by her children Benay Lyman & husband David of Colfax; Caron McCloud & husband Danny Jackson of Gary, IN; Gene McCloud and wife Billie of Pittsburg, KS; 2 brothers Jim & Leslie; 3 sisters Diana, Betty & Susie; 7 grandchildren Dakota, Kaysha, Kenton, Mark, Matt, Brittany & Cody; and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Jeff and two sisters. The memorial service will be held at 3 PM on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at the Onecho Bible Church.
