Never married
For twenty plus years he was engaged as a public school teacher in the schools throughout Clearfield county.

From his obituary***
He made his home with his sister as only loving hands can. He never married. For many years he was a member of the Centre Methodist church and his remains were laid to rest in the cemetery at Hyde. Then another of the early settlers of this Clearfield region has gone and soon the community will be manned by an entirely new generation. Will the new be as industrious as the generation so fast passing to its reward.
