Obituary, Ottumwa [IA] Daily Courier, Tuesday, October 30, 1906:
The funeral of James M. Crawley, who passed away at the family residence, 107 West Main street, yesterday morning were held this afternoon at 3 o'clock at the home. Rev. E. J. Shook, pastor of the Willard Street Methodist Episcopal church, was in charge of the service at the residence. The G.A.R. assumed charge of the service at the cemetery. Pall bearers were T.R. Bickley, W.H. Fetser, A.E. McCue, J.M. Winn, A.H. Hamilton, and M.L. Kirk. Interment was made at the Ottumwa cemetery.
