Julane Anderson, 84 of rural Webster died on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at her home north of Webster.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Fron Lutheran Church near Roslyn, Janet Johnson will officiate. Inurnment will be in the church cemetery.

Julane Marion Anderson was born on Sunday, July 10, 1927 to Haggie and Almina (Larson) Anderson on the family farm in Raritan Township, Day County, South Dakota north of Webster. She was baptized and confirmed at Fron Lutheran Church near Roslyn. She attended country school near her home.

After she received her education, she remained at home where she farmed with her parents and sister. They raised pigs, turkeys and chickens along with grain farming. In the 1950's they were the largest privately owned turkey farm in the state. After her parents and sister died, she continued to farm with the help of her friend, Lee Schaefferkoetter. After his death in October 2000, she retired from active farming.

She was a member of Fron Lutheran Church where she belonged to Ladies Aide and taught Sunday School in her younger years. She also belonged to the Garden Club.

Julane passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at the home where she was born at the age of 84 years, 9 months and 21 days.

Survivors include a nephew, David (April) Eslick of Yankton, SD and a niece, Darlene Eslick of Pipestone, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings.
