Garnett J. Miller, 89, Miller's Merry Manor Nursing Home, Peru, formerly of rural Peru, died at 11:50 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003 at her home.
Miller was born Dec. 11, 1914 in Peru to Charley and Murta Chaplin Resler. She married Ray S. Miller June 9, 1956, and he died May 5, 1970.
Miller was a homemaker, a member of Center Chapel Brethren Church, Miami County, and the church's Ladies Aid Group.
Survivors include a daughter, Murta Douglass and husband Clinton, Peru; four grandchildren, Dan Miller, Mexico, Janet Droll and Marcia Phillips, both of Peru, and Ralph Fershee, Kokomo; and a sister, Rosanna Bloxson, Marion.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, two brothers, a half-sister and a half-brother.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, with Pastor Rick Stone and Rev. Al Peck officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
