John D. McKillip, Sr., 86, 2605 Michigan Ave., died Sunday in Ball Memorial Hospital.

Mr. McKillip, a native of Howard County, moved to Delaware County in 1928. He was a self-employed contractor before retiring. He also farmed for several years.

Surviving are five daughters, Faye Bryan, Park City, Ill., Fern (Mrs. Jack) Atkinson, Upland, Peggy (Mrs. Richard) Bales, Eaton, Janice (Mrs. Lindy) James, Pennville, and Judy (Mrs. Harold) Dunsmore, Parker City; seven sons, A.A. (Bud), Richard, Fred, Michael, John Jr. and Stephen McKillip, all of Muncie, and Phillip McKillip, Muncie; a son-in-law, Lester Brinson, Muncie; three sisters, Fern Yoars, Panacea, Fla., Mildred Wilson, Clearwater, Fla., and Evelyn Dryden, Fort Myers, Fla.; 41 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Meeks Mortuary, with Richard Newby officiating. Interment will be in Gardens of Memory. Calling hours at the mortuary are after 3 p.m. today and before services Tuesday.
