Joann Eden Shepard, age 73, of Clarksville, died Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, April 30th in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View, with Bro. John Maltais officiating. Burial followed in Sango Cemetery with Randy Fox, Greg Jinnette, Jason Shepard, Josh Shepard, Teddy Haggard, and Troy Ford serving as pallbearers.
Mrs. Shepard was born June 8, 1940 in Robertson County, Tennessee to the late Oscar and Ruth Smith Eden. She enjoyed farming and raising tobacco with her husband. In her spare time she loved deer hunting and spending time with her family. She was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Betty R. Morris. She is survived her husband of 47 years, Ray Buster Shepard; daughters, Angela L. (Randy) Goff of Pleasant View, Melaine Shepard of Clarksville, Melissa Shepard of Clarksville; granddaughter, Sarah E. Goff of Memphis; brothers, Lewis (Dorann) Eden of Springfield, Ronnie (Emily) Eden of Orlinda; sister, Delores Traughber of Springfield; and granddog, Boots.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
