Contributor Claudia Davenport-Sullivan (47345651) shared the following:

"It is difficult to calculate the actual day (of birth) as it crossed with the Julian calendar change in 1752 wherein not only the 1st month changed from March to January, England removed an additional 11 days from the month of September 1752 in order to align her calendar with the rest of Europe".
- and -
They married on 31 Mar 1768 at Fairfax Mtg in VA; her parents George & Elizabeth (Hanby) Gregg sign as witnesses, among her siblings Mary & William Gregg; her uncle "Deaf" John Gregg Sr & his children, her cousins, John Gregg Jr, Emey (Gregg (m. Thomas Gregg), Amos Gregg & included Aaron's brother Joseph Hackney, and Elizabeth (Hanby) Gregg's brother John Hanby.

Aaron is the son of Joseph & Charity (Harlan) Hackney Baldwin.
Joseph was born in New Jersey in 1700, Charity in 1714 in Pennsylvania and they married in 1731.

His mother upon her second marriage was disowned by marrying a non-Quaker, or "stranger".

On Oct 6, 1760, Aaron, his mother, and siblings, John & Joseph transferred from Kennett in Chester Co., to the MM in Hopewell.

"In the Hopewell MM records, Aaron's first wife, Lydia Reese, died in 1764 without issue.

He then married Hannah Gregg, in Fairfax Va, on March 31, 1768. The records show the family moving between MM with a growing clutch of children until they disappear from the Hopewell (VA) MM in 1780".

"We the Committee appointed to inspect into the situation of the different titles for lots of land belonging to Friends within the compass of this Monthly Meeting, propose what further care may be required on the occasion agree to report as follows: Viz: First--the title for the lot on which Hopewell Meeting House stands, appears to be well secured but Abel Walker, one of the trustees being far advanced in age and Amos Joliffe the other trustee deceased. We propose that Isaac Pigeon & Edward Walker be appointed by this meeting to succeed them in Trust--Secondly--we found the title good for the lot of land on the Ridge near Joseph Hackneys, but the house thereon likely to sustain loss from decay. We propose Thomas Barrett and Aaron Hackney as Trustees in the room of Joseph Hackney, deceased, and David Faulkner removed to Ohio, with Liberty to rent out the house from time to time and after paying for the useful repairs, pay any surplus of rent to this meeting".

Aaron had a presence in western PA, maybe as early as 1769. He was listed as a resident of Spring Hill Tsp ( uncertain about the exact location) in 1772. Also, he was a Road Viewer in Fayette Co. in 1784 and he filed a land claim in 1787... see attached photo: warrant date (March 1, 1787).
That land stayed in the Hackney family until 1970.
