Mrs. Agnes Baker died of an apparent heart attack at 6:30 p.m. yesterday (Jan 1) at her home.
Mrs. Baker was born June 21, 1900 in Bevier, the daughter of Chris and Bertha Tiller Suhr. She was married to Perry Baker. He preceded her in death July 17, 1953.
Mrs. Baker is survived by one step-daughter, Mrs. Frances Stauber, Brookfield, one step-son, Freddie Baker, East Moline, Ill., one granddaughter, Mrs. Charlotte Howerton, Blue Springs, one sister, Berniece DeBreese, Kirksville, one brother, Howard Suhr, New Cambria, several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by one son, Clarence Edward Baker on Aug. 13, 1943. He was the first veteran in Linn County who lost his life in WWII.
