DEATHS

LILLARD-- At his home, near Lawrenceburg, on Monday morning, Mr. Ephraim Lillard, sr., aged nearly 82 years.

Mr. Lillard was one of the most highly respected citizens of Anderson county - - honorable, upright and kindly in all the relations of life.

He leaves six daughters, Mrs. Mary Blakemore, Mrs. W. S. Farmer, Mrs. H. B. Carpenter, Mrs. W. S. Barriger, Miss Rachel Lillard and Miss Jennie Lillard, and one son, Mr. Ephriam Lillard, jr., and a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn his death.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. E. Gwatkin, from the family residence, on Tuesday afternoon, at 2 o'clock, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Lawrenceburg cemetery by the side of his wife, who had preceded him to the grave.

Lawrenceburg, Ky., August 20, - Colonel Ephriam Lillard, aged eighty-two years, one of the most highly respected farmers of this county, died yesterday at his home, ten miles from here.
