George J. Dale died at the Memorial Hospital Saturday evening following a two week illness.
The deaceased was the son of Clarke and Elizabeth Dale and was born March 17, 1863 on a Graham Township farm where he reached manhood and spent the earlier part of his life in the agricultural occupation.
In June 1889 he was married to Alta Spackman, to this union was born two children: Walter and Mary, the latter now Mrs. Paul Collins, both of Rock Rapids, Iowa.
His wife died in 1899. He later married Frances Hubler and to this union the following children were born: Martha, Janet, now Mrs. James Carr; James, Bessie. Carrie, John, Patricia and Alice.
George Dale lived a useful and active life and an unusually large number of friends are left to mourn the departure of a good man.
Funeral services will be held at the Palestine Church near his home at 2:30 Tuesday, Feb. 4. Burial in the cemetery nearby.
