Mrs. Stella Craig Carlton, 97, died Monday at Duke Medical Center. She was the widow of Eugene W. Carlton. Mrs. Carlton was born in Orange County to the late Oscar F. and Mamie Strayhorn Craig. She spent her adult life in Durham where she was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Surviving are several cousins; nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Mrs. R.F. Yarborough. Memorial Services will be at Trinity United Methodist Church.
