Edgar Russell Bryan, 76, widower of Frances Cooper Bryan, died Friday, June 15, 2012, at his daughter's home in Georgetown.
Mr. Bryan was born in Andrews on October 23, 1935, a son of the late Lorenzo Benjamin Bryan and Lena Mae Sports Bryan.
He grew up in the Piney Forest community of Williamsburg Co. and graduated from Williamsburg High School. Mr. Bryan was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed horseback riding and hunting. He also loved music, playing guitar, and singing. Mr. Bryan lived in Florida for the past 12 years.
Surviving are: two daughters, Debbie B. Morris of Georgetown and Diane Bryan of Titusville, Fla.; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Reed D. Bryan, Sr. of Andrews; two sisters, Lawanda B. Hanna of Andrews and Edaphell B. Sims of Stafford, Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at two o'clock on Monday afternoon, June 18, 2012, at the Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. Murray Powell. Burial will follow in Piney Forest Cemetery.
