She was born May 7, 1919, in Hart County and was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church in Elizabethtown. She served 17 years as housemother of Kappa Delta Sorority at Western Kentucky University and was made a lifetime member upon her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Kessinger; a son, Don Allen Kessinger; her parents, William and Florence Jaggers; a brother, Homer Jaggers; and two sisters, Stella Gibson and Grace Copelin.
Survivors include a sister, Myrtle Clauson of Helmwood Healthcare.
Cremation was chosen.
