Wooster Daily Record – Monday, Sept. 11, 1978: Millersburg – Mrs. Mattie Raber, 78, of Millersburg RD, died Saturday morning at he home after a long illness. Services will be Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at her home with Bishop William J. Troyer officiating. Burial will be at Raber Cemetery in Walnut Creek Township. Friends may call anytime at the home.
Lingler Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
She was born in Holmes County to Joe and Anna Beachy and was a member of the Old Order of Amish. Her husband Abe A. Raber, died in 1973. Surviving are son Joseph A. Raber, step-sons Roman A., and Levi A., brother, Abe J. Beachy, three grandchildren and 7 step grandchildren and 15 step-great-grandchildren.
