Dennis R. Hough, age 66, of Janesville, died on Monday, Sept. 19, 2011, at Meriter Hospital, Madison, from injuries he sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Beloit on July 29, 1945, the son of Nelson and Bernice (Jones) Putman II. He was later adopted by Daniel Hough after Nelson J. Putnam II passed away. Dennis graduated from Beloit Memorial High School, and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He married Sharon Olson in Janesville on Dec. 28, 1968. He had been employed by the Pipe Fitters Union #214 and #601, which merged together, and he retired in January of 2009. He had been a member of the Beloit Rifle Club and the NRA.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Sharon Hough; son, Joshua (Elizabeth) Hough of Janesville; two grandchildren, Madeline and Ethan Hough of Janesville; mother, Bernice (Cal) Johnson of Beloit; two brothers, Michael D. Hough and Patrick (Gill) Hough, both of Beloit; mother-in-law, Marian (George) Kuehne of Janesville; two sisters-in-law, Kathy (Todd) Worple of Florence, WI, and Sharon (Gary) Joy of Janesville; brother-in-law, Terry Olson of Janesville; nieces and nephews: Jennifer, Dylan, Riley, Patrick, Katie, and Allison; special friends: Wes and Yvonne, Wayne and Kathie, and Scott and Michelle; extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father; adopted father; and brother, Nelson Hough.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 10 until 11 a.m. at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME.
