Bessie Albright


Mrs. Bessie Viola Albright, 90, of 139 E. Smithfield Street, Bradford, died at Dettmer Hospital in Troy Thursday.


She was born January 8, 1894, in Darke County, Ohio, to Michael and Edith (Gramm) Stump. Her husband, Russell, died in 1973.


She was a member of the Bradford United Methodist Church, Gold Star Mothers and Order of the Eastern Stars Chapter 241.


Survivors include a daughter, Mary Brown, of West Milton; one son, William, of Ocala, Florida; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Davis of Troy. Two sons [Frank and Berman] preceded her in death.


Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Stocker Funeral Home, Bradford, with the Rev. David Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Abbottsville Cemetery.


Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunay at the funeral home. OES services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Sunday.
