The Iron Era (Dover NJ), Fri 04 Feb 1882 [ Nancy Ayers, the mother of Mr. Berry, born in 1782, was the seventh child of Robert Ayers and Annie Jackson, and when an infant in her mother's arms was brought on horseback- her brother being carried in his father's arms- when her parents fled from the British and Indians in the valley of Wyoming in 1782. ]
