Laurie age 52 of the Woodlands, Texas passed away on Monday June 11, 2012 at her home with her husband and children. Funeral services have been set at 10 am in the chapel at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home and Cemetery of Woodlands Texas.

Laurie Abshire was born on Dec. 27, 1959 in Pasadena, Texas to Mr.& Mrs. JT Jordy. She grew up in Deer Park Texas. Graduated high school attended San Jacinto College and graduated from Lamar University. Married Patrick Abshire of Pasadena Texas during her college years. They were high school sweet hearts before that time.
They had two sons Justin, Austin and one daughter Caitlyn.
Laurie liked cooking, reading, sewing, traveling and spending time with her family plus going to the log house on Lake Limestone.
Laurie was preceded in death by her father JT Jordy of Madisonville, Texas.
She is survived by her husband Patrick Abshire of the Woodlands. Son Justin, wife Katie, son Austin and fiancée Lindsay and daughter Caitlyn all of The Woodlands. Mother Ann Jordy and her older sister Claudia Jordy Tucker, husband Paul of Madisonville, Texas. Plus numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
In tears we saw you sinking
And watching you fade away,

We saw you sleeping so peacefully
Free from pain, how could we wish
You back with us to suffer the pain
